How to Reach Cappadocia, Turkey?

By Air

There are two airports you can pick from to reach Cappadocia: Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport and Kayseri Erkilet Airport. Both of these airports are in the Cappadocia region. If you are flying from international destinations, you can get a connecting flight to these airports from Istanbul or Sofia. The Nevsehir Airport gets direct flights from Istanbul, Sofia, and Varna. Through Kayseri Airport you can get direct flights to visit Cappadocia from Ankara, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hannover, Nuremberg, Rotterdam, Hague, Tehran, Hamburg, Ankara, Antalya, Stuttgart, Munich, Vienna, Frankfurt, Geneva, Izmir, Liege, and Istanbul.

You can get easy buses and hired cars to get to any of the towns or places to visit in the Cappadocia region. If you land at Kayseri airport, you can also take a train to visit Cappadocia.

By Road

The Mainline Train route connects Kayseri and Goreme in Cappadocia to several other cities in Turkey. You can get direct trains for Cappadocia travel from Ankara, Sivas, Istanbul, Malatya, Karaman, Adana, and many other destinations.

You can also get direct buses to reach Cappadocia from Istanbul, Ankara, Busra, Izmir, Konya, Antalya, and Canakkale. There are also connecting buses to several other towns and cities in Turkey. But, as the train network in the country is quite spread-out, you should head to the nearest train station and take a direct or connecting train to visit Cappadocia.

If you are planning to reach Cappadocia by road, you should head for the central city of Kayseri. Highway routes D300, D260, and D805 will help you get here. Then you can use connecting routes to reach other places to visit in Cappadocia.

There are no direct water routes for Cappadocia travel as it is a landlocked city.
