How to Reach Gazakh, Azerbaijan?

By Air

The nearest airport for Gazakh travel is the Ganja airport located about 70 km away from the capital town of the Qazax district. The Tblisi International Airport of Georgia is about roughly the same distance from Gazakh. You can use either of the airport to visit Gazakh. Once you reach the airport you have to look for train or bus to reach the places to visit in Gazakh district. Though you won’t get any transport options to Qazakh directly from the airport. You will have to venture into the city for both public and private means of travel for all things to do in Gazakh.

By Road

If you choose to travel by train, then you can reach either of the 3 train stations in the Gazakh district. The best among them is Qazax train station located in the capital town of the district. If you wish to travel towards northern region of Qazakh district then Soyug Bulag, Das Salahly or Salahly train station are appropriate. Soyug Bulag train station is the closest to Gara Yaz State Reserve Forest. Though it is not located within Qazax.

Your next best as well as cheapest alternative is to travel by bus. The public transport in Azerbaijan isn’t exactly luxurious. But it is way cheaper than any other alternative. Almost every town in Gazakh Rayon has its own bus stop. You will have to choose the route based on the things to see in Gazakh you wish to visit. You will be bound by bus timings for Gazakh travel. The daily frequency of buses is questionable. So get more information on bus routes and timings before you visit Gazakh.

You will also be able to get a car on rent or a cab for Gazakh sightseeing. This eliminates the uncertainty and dependency on public transport. As Qazakh Rayon is a landlocked district, you don’t have the option of water transport for Gazakh travel.
