Talin is located on the western side of the Aragatotn Province. Talin is also very close to Armenia-Turkey international border. The H-17 Motorway takes you close to the border, it is a popular for road trip on Talin travel. There are not many places to visit in Talin save a few churches in monasteries. The town of Talin itself is a beautiful place sitting at the slope of Mount Aragats, the highest peak in the entire country of Armenia. Despite the lack of historical things to see in Talin, it is considered to be one of the oldest settlements in the region. The archeological research dates back the ancient settlements of Talin to the 2nd century B.C. This town had many names before the current one was made official. It has been called Talina and Talno Votn in the past as well. There is also a tragic tale behind the name of the town. There used to be a princess named Talin, who threw herself from a rock in retaliation of marriage to an unwanted suitor. One of the most popular places to visit in Talin is the Dashtadem Fortress built by the Kamsarkan royalty in the 7th century A.D. How to Reach Talin, Armenia?

By Air

The nearest airport for Talin travel is the Shirak International Airport in the Shirak Province located north of Aragatsotn Province. You will then have to take the road for places to visit in Talin. The Yeravan Airport & Zvartnots International Airport are also great options for Talin travel, but you will have to traverse the Aragatsotn Province to reach Talin tourist attractions. You can also take Ashtarak en route to things to see in Talin if you are coming from the eastern side.

By Road

Talin is located on the cross section of Motorway M9 & Motorway M1. So you may take either of these roads for things to do in Talin. If you are coming from the northern side or the eastern side, you will have to opt for Motorway M1 for places to visit in Talin. You will only need Motorway M9 if you are coming directly from the southern side for Talin travel. Motorway M1 also connects Talin to the major city in Aragatsotn  Province as well as Armenia. By Water

Talin is a country afar from the nearest waterbody. So for all things to do in Talin, road is the only option. There could be a lot of waiting time before you can see water route for Talin travel. This would happen only in case of a biblical level flood. Until climate change can make that happen, you will have to make do with a land route for all things to see in Talin.
