By Road

You can get direct train for Jakarta trip from many cities and towns in Indonesia. But, international travel by train is not available owing to all the oceans surrounding the island. You can book your tickets as early as 90 days before your date of Jakarta travel. The same goes for bus travel. There are 3 major bus terminal in the city receiving buses from several cities, towns, and villages on the island. There are also tour buses available from major cities like Bandung and Surabaya which cover several fun things to do in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Even if you want to travel to by car, you have to be on the island, unless you have a car which can run on water as well. There two routes to reach Jakarta attractions by road, Route number 1 & 2. Quite easy to remember, isn’t it? Route number 1 runs west to east and through the city. There are many things to see in Jakarta located on this route. Route number 2 connects to Jakarta from the southern side. On this route too you will find several Jakarta tourist spots.

By Water

You can get ferry, boat cruise and luxury boat rides to the islands in Jakarta bay. Other than that, there are hardly any connections by water for Jakarta travel.
